Chair, Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission

I was appointed a Board member of Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission (GEDC) in 2014, and appointed as Chair in 2016.

The Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission is a West Australian Government agency committed to encouraging and promoting economic and social activity in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. Alongside strategy and advocacy work, we manage several substantial grant programs funded through the Royalties for Regions initiative, including the $198M Goldfields-Esperance Revitalisation Fund. The GEDC is responsible to the HON Alannah MacTiernan MLC. Minister for Regional Development; Agriculture and Food.

The GEDC services an area three times the size of Victoria, running from the WA coastline up the the WA-NT-SA tri-state border and has offices in Kalgoorlie, Esperance and Leonora. Recently we released the Goldfields-Esperance Regional Investment Blueprint, setting out a vision for the region to 2050. I am proud to work alongside my fellow Board members to create a strong, diverse and vibrant future for our region.
