Regional Arts Australia recently held our AGM in Dubbo, NSW, which is the location for Artlands Dubbo 2016. This was a fantastic opportunity to hear about what is planned for Artlands, and to get a sense of the incredible support in Dubbo for the event. I particularly enjoyed our dinner with Mayor Mathew Dickerson and hearing about his passionate belief that arts and culture are key to making regional cities wonderful places to live.
During the AGM I was re-elected as RAA Chair by my peers from around the country. It is an honour to serve on the RAA Board, and I thank my colleagues for their support.
And my hot tip for travelling to Artlands Dubbo 2016? The train (of course!). It goes through the Blue Mountains, is wonderfully comfortable and does a mean on-board Devonshire tea.
