The Minister for the Arts, Senator the Hon Mitch Fifield today announced my appointment to the Board of the Australia Council for the Arts, along with Mr Sam Walsh AO, Mr Leigh Carmichael and Ms Zoe McKenzie.
The Australia Council for the Arts is the Australian Government’s arts funding and advisory body.
The Australia Council are a champion for Australian arts both here and overseas. They invest in artistic excellence through support for all facets of the creative process and are committed to the arts being more accessible to all Australians. The Australia Council is an independent statutory authority, accountable to the Australian Parliament and to the Government through the Minister for the Arts.
I am honoured by this appointment and look forward to working with my fellow Board members.
