For several years now I’ve had the Australia Company Directors Course as a professional development goal. I find directorship fascinating and rewarding, and I’ve been itching to really deepen my knowledge.
This week I was awarded a scholarship to complete the course, as part of a board diversity initiative focused on women from rural and remote areas. The scholarships are jointly funded by the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Federal Government.
This scholarship enables me to undertake the course in the coming months, widening my view of directorship and letting me bring that investment back to the boards on which I serve, including Regional Arts Australia, Country Arts WA and the Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission.
Call me a nerd, but I can’t wait!
Congratulations to all scholarship recipients.
